What You Should Do in The City During The Milan Design Week: Milan Design Week is a period that indeed gives this city in Italy a new life. There are many interesting spots to check out during the event and we’ll be giving you a mini guide on what to from April 8th to April 14h!
How can you miss one of the biggest and most popular trade fairs of design, furniture and interior design in the entire world? Be sure to stop by the fair and you’ll be able to see some of the best luxury furniture design brands of many countries. There are some names already confirmed, among them, Maison Valentina, Brabbu, Boca do Lobo, Fendi Casa, Sahrai Milano and Missoni Home.
More than a location, Brera Design District is a brand. This district is known as an international point of reference as well as a center of Milan’s best creative, commercial and cultural development. There are also many galleries you can check out in this area if you’re also an art appreciator.
Like Brera, Isola Design District is a territorial marketing project created by Blank (a young creative agency). Every year when Milan Design Week comes a series of initiatives in the area are organized in collaboration with 24PR&Events and Emilio Lonardo. This is a good spot to check out during this time period because there are several design exhibitions, installations, workshops and talks taking place in many hidden locations, galleries and private courtyards.
The center of the city is the best spot to relax if you want to step a little further from the main event. Not only is Milan seen as being a global capital when it comes to industrial design, fashion, and architecture, but it’s also a place of culture and art. You can’t leave Milan without taking a walk through Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II or visiting the classic and splendorous Duomo di Milano.
Another crime would be to leave Italy without trying the best from the country’s gastronomy. In Milan, you have lots of restaurants to choose from, among them some gourmet options such as Cracco, Acanto (the 5-star restaurant of Hotel Principe Di Savoia), Lume or even Restaurant da Giacomo.
