A tall arch of veined green stone, lit softly from behind, rises out of a wall of slatted, wood-toned panelling, and everything in the room is arranged around it. Inside the arch, the
Colosseum Mirror repeats the outline one size smaller in layered gold, its inner edge glowing so the mirror reads as a doorway of light.
At the foot of the arch, the
Symphony Pedestal Sink stands between two banks of foliage, a cylinder of golden brass tubes crowned by a fluted marble basin. Its vertical rhythm picks up the slats of the wall behind, while the soft ring of the basin answers the curve of the arch above. On the right, the
Nui Stool brings deep green velvet and slender gold arches, a colour echo of the stone and the planting.
To the right of the slats, a deeply textured wall in warm brown gives the room a raw counterpoint to the polished, veined floor. The
Eden Towel Rack stands to the right of the sink in gold, a black towel hanging from it, while uplights hidden in the planting add a second layer of warm light. A reference for boutique hotels, restaurants and private residences where the powder room is meant to be a surprise.
